Absence makes the heart grow fonder, if that is so, a huge bunch of people sure love their church.
Most people think that Christian Centers is a place where they are given a meal and preached to for hours. All churches and Christian organizations should be Christian Centers but not full of preaching but teaching. As Christian Centers, we are in the world to show and glorify Christ but we are not of the world. We are from God; he who knows God listens to us; he who is not from God does not listen to us. By this we know the spirit of truth and the spirit of error (1 John 4:6 ESV). When people come in contact with us they should know before we speak that we are followers of Christ or different from the world. When they come into Christian Centers there should be a different atmosphere, an environment of love, joy, peace and comfort.
If there is one characteristic of Christ in 12 people that is 12 characteristics coming together for the greater good to help, to love, to empower our communities. Our children will grow and flourish which will lower child hunger and juvenile violence, our neighborhoods can self sustain, and the violence within our homes and streets will lessen.
Finally, brothers and sisters, whatever is true, whatever is noble, whatever is right, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is admirable—if anything is excellent or praiseworthy—think about such things. 9 Whatever you have learned or received or heard from me, or seen in me—put it into practice. And the God of peace will be with you Philippians 4:8-9 (NIV).Our greater good will always be glorifying Christ and kingdom building. So instead of preaching when the doors open let us teach and fulfill the scripture by going out into the world lifting up the name of Jesus and He will draw all men to Him….But how will they know we come in His name? They will know we are Christians by our love for one another.

It is that time of year when everyone is working so hard to make the holidays special for those they love. To the point where we lose track of the true meaning of these special times. We give thanks to our Lord for a bountiful harvest which can be another blessed day in the land of the living, a new job , and/or a new family member. No matter what your reason to give thanks, give thanks by remembering our Christ and his sacrifices so that our eyes will be opened and we can all see the wonderful things of Christ!
